The Poydras Corridor Sculpture Exhibition (PCSE) presented by The Helis Foundation is the South’s leading rotating public sculpture exhibition located in the heart of downtown New Orleans, spanning Poydras Street between Convention Center Boulevard and North Galvez Street. With 13 installations currently on view, PCSE, in collaboration with the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, and the City of New Orleans Department of Parks and Parkways,  reinforces New Orleans’ status as a leading international destination for the visual arts.

Parade, a monumental piece by New York City-based artist Wyatt Kahn, is the fourth sculpture this year to be installed. Located on the Poydras Street neutral ground between Carondelet Street and St. Charles Avenue, it combines abstract figures with everyday objects. Crafted from Cor-ten steel, creating a striking rust-colored exterior, it weighs over 3,300 pounds and measures more than 15 feet wide. Parade features a surreal geometrical shape alongside a large foot and a lightbulb, an interplay that encourages a reflection of the dynamic relationship between art and everyday existence; and challenges us to reconsider the transformative power of familiar objects when reimagined as sculptural expressions.
