This double portrait was commissioned by the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) for the 1983 Next Wave Festival. The dance production featured nearly 20 years of Trisha Brown (1936-2013), and her eponymous dance company's choreographic work. The highlight of the program was the world premiere of Brown’s collaboration with composer Laurie Anderson and visual artist Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008), “Set and Reset.”
